Hello All, as I have alluded to in earlier posts, I have been through the hoops looking for the magic bullet. Over the years I have developed a very narrow takeaway, mainly; I think due to an incorrect set up and weight transfer.
I have videoed my swing and amazed how narrow I am, Dariusz could please enlighten me as to what I must focus primarliy, although I think you may suggest the forward press, correct pressure points and weight transfer.
Thanks again.

Well, John - you have practically answered your own question very wisely. IMO, there are a few culprits of some errors including a too narrow takeaway:
- impact fix hands at address;
- no trigger compression move;
- to early wrists work during the takeaway;
- lead side leading the motion in the backswing phase;
- too much weight remaining on the lead side.
I wonder how many of the above listed points can be identified with your swing motion.
Lastly, the best ballstrikers used the so-called lagging takeaway move (that's BTW corresponds ideally with trigger compression move and mid-body hands at address).

Cheers

Thanks Dariusz, as I have mentioned in another post on the demise of my golf , I had been stuck on my left side for several years and not having any forward press, I am sure this has contributed to the narrow take away.
I am passionate in learning pressure points and the trigger and correct address, along with all the other stuff.

It will take time to ingrain a proper set up - stuff like the waggle the right knee kick etc. will take a little time, but I am adamant iIwill get it right.

Thanks again D
Very grateful.
